Vintage French Tan & Black Wood Boxwood Chess Set + Case •King 4.65” 85Grams

We are delighted to offer this vintage Lardy chess set from France featuring the Lardy knights and a 4.65” king weighing 85 grams, with the original case. The pieces are weighted and the bottoms are finished with green baize fabric, with one piece missing the fabric. This old set has been a workhorse and is solid overall. It is, however; battle scarred. A few pieces have fissures (the upper part of the light king as well as the light bishop, and at the base of a black rook). There are blemishes to the finish of many pieces, mostly black. Examples are shown in the last photo.
