Vintage Hans Teppich Turned Bronze Chess Set and Wood Case/Board.
Brass plate shown above clasp reads ‘Made in
Israel
’.
Purple label on outer hinge edge probably original maker's stock label.  Pieces measure 1 1/2 to 2 1/4 inches high.
CONDITION ISSUES:
All pieces present.
The black knight pieces both show wear to the enamel surface
more so than the rest of the set for unknown reason, otherwise little to no wear marks present.
Case shows a few minor scratches/storage wear marks that could be blended with stain if desired.
Hinges work well and case closes true with clasp holding tightly when engaged.
Inner surface of hinges show discoloration from unknown source – could be anti-corrosion compound since hinges were made of steel.
Case inner top panel is loose at bottom edge, lower left and right corners and upper right corner.
